Beeches Farm

Beeches Farm Campsite is not just any old campsite! There are several things that make it unique and a favourite to SAKMC:

  • The magnificent views across the Wye Valley of ‘God’s own land’ (as the old saying goes about Wales).
  • The ancient Forest of Dean that surrounds the campsite with its towering magical trees.
  • The view from Devil’s Pulpit down onto the ruins of the old Tintern Abbey from Offa’s Dyke which passes alongside.
  • The fire pits on the site which allow a beer in front of flickering flames as you watch the majestic night skies with myriads of stars above.
  • The friendly women owners Dawn and Rose who run the farm!

....and should it rain, there are many local wonderful pubs and old towns in the area.

Beeches is a popular site throughout the year; it is recommended that someone calls ahead to book an area for SAKMC several weeks in advance.

In the past this has proved a bit of a game with cars mistakenly trying to drive through Magitts Farm.

From Coleford (North)

Down the B4228 towards Chepstow. Pass Magitts Farm, pass Offa's Dyke parking, pass little Church. Turn right onto Miss Grace's Lane (little Beeches sign in the hedge)

Drive 1 mile (slowly) down the lane straight into the campsite.

From the South

Head for Chepstow, pass Tutshill onto the B4228, drive for approximately 2.7 mile. Turn left onto Miss Grace's Lane (little Beeches sign in the hedge - red post box, wooden bus shed, opposite Bounds yard)

Drive 1 mile (slowly) down the lane straight into the campsite.
